I am interested in the interaction between animals and their parasites with their environment. I am investigating how a host-parasite interaction within the Wog Wog Experiment was initially disrupted by habitat fragmentation and how processes such as niche selection and dispersal influence its re-assembly over time. Further, I am exploring how host and parasite populations feedback on each other to affect overall population health. My research combines lab work, field work, and simulation modeling to ask questions about community level processes while drawing from aspects of population and landscape ecology.
