I remember walking down those streets at midnight, in the dead of winter, with no coat. Nothing but a green T-shirt that said Mudhoney, a pair of black shorts, socks, and tennis shoes. I had nothing to do but walk around in 5 Points and sit around on the corner of Martin Luther King and Downing. I'd watch the crackheads smoke and think I wish I could have some of that so I could stay up all night; it's better than sleeping in the snow.
