The Interdisciplinary Telecom MS program combines courses in computer science and networking with hands-on, team-based learning that encourages innovative research, inquiry, and exploration. ITP offers many programs and degree options for current or prospective CU undergraduate and graduate students.
The MS degree is a two-year program that allows students to specialize in topics such as networking, policy & law, ethics, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship & economics. Students may choose one of two options: a coursework-only option where the student completes a two-sequence research and capstone project course, or a thesis option where the student researches, writes and defends a master’s thesis.ITP students learn traditional networking and programming skills by spending hundreds of hours in state-of-the-art laboratories mastering the operation of complex commercial technologies.
We also offer BS/MS concurrent degree and will soon be unveiling a Cyber Minor to complement any undergraduate degree - both of these programs will offer students electives and degree-relevant course options for a professional advantage in their future careers.
ITP is actively increasing the opportunities we provide to military service members, veterans, and professionals for career development. Through on-site and/or distance-learning (online) options, anyone can easily access one course to gain new expertise and knowledge or an entire degree to begin a new career in the hottest fields.
The following courses will be offered during the SPring 2019 semester. Many are offered online and are available to any CU Boulder student, not just ITP students or graduate students. Search for "TLEN" (or the relevant course prefix) at classes.colorado.edu for more information.
