This 5-day training provides an in-depth immersion into the foundational theories and technologies of software-defined networking (SDN) and emerging technologies for computer networks. Participants in this training class do not need to take the ONF Certified SDN Associate 1-day training, since this 5-day training will include the content used in the 1-day class.  Popular software and technologies used in industry, such as Floodlight, Mininet, ONOS, Open vSwitch, OpenFlow, OpenDaylight, and Ryu, will be used throughout the course to facilitate an understanding of how high-level software programs can control the behavior of the entire physical network. The course is composed of 50% lecture, and 50% “hands-on” hardware/software labs with industry relevant SDN capable hardware.  This course is aimed at preparing participants for the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) SDN Engineer certification exam—which is considered mastery-level validation for technical professionals in the domain of SDN networking.
