The department's recognition ceremony is where each student is recognized by name and crosses the stage to receive a diploma cover. This is separate from the university commencement ceremony, which is where students from all departments are invited to participate. The chancellor of the Boulder campus officially confers degrees and tassels are switched at the campus-wide ceremony. For more information, please see: http://commencement.colorado.edu/
Note: Participating in either of these ceremonies does NOT mean you have officially graduated from the university. See http://advising.colorado.edu/students/prospective-students/graduation for information on what you need to do to ensure you have met all requirements. Contact your academic advisor with questions.
