I am a mountain geomorphologist investigating the evolution of mountain environments in a deglaciation context, linking time scales from millennium to annual.
I use a multidisciplinary approach combining field measurements, remote sensing, geochronology and numerical modeling. At INSTAAR, I am working to understand the evolution of glaciated and glacierized areas over the Holocene timescale and more specifically how mountain areas went from glacier to rock glacier dominated.
