Mike Traxler serves as a Program Manager in the Office of Industry Collaboration, with primary focus on building sponsored research relationships between CU Boulder faculty and aerospace and defense industry partners.
Mike has extensive experience guiding cross-functional teams and collaborating with executive-level stakeholders in industry, federal government and academia to launch and direct high-profile, multi-million dollar technology innovation efforts. He is a former Army Acquisition Officer with experience as a chartered Program Manager and as the Army Science and Technology Advisor to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Prior to arriving at CU Boulder in 2015, Mike spent several years in industry program management positions, as well as in consulting. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering Sciences (’92) from CU Boulder, a M.S. in Industrial Engineering (’03) from Oregon State University and Certifications in Systems Engineering, PMP, CSCP and Lean Six Sigma.
Mike is married to CU alumnus Lynn Traxler (AppMath, ’92) and they live in Superior with their three children: Jake (19), Maya (16), and Ben (13).
