Research Interests: I am generally interested in how learning and communication are impacted and influenced by technology. My work aims to incorporate educational technology that builds on what an individual knows with the goal of then personalizing content to a greater extent. I am currently working on developmental studies examining language acquisition, specifically looking at grammatical errors as well as nonverbal communication. Much of my work involves developing unique annotation schemes using audio and video data. I am also interested in community engagement, collaborative learning, and participatory research.
