Meet your 2023 Class Reunion Committee Members!

At Homecoming 2023, we are excited to welcome back the classes of 1973 and 1983 for their 40th and 50th reunions. Reunion Committee Members dedicate their time to help reunite fellow Forever Buff classmates and support the Alumni Association's planning efforts. This select group of alumni are the heart and soul of the CU’s Homecoming weekend and our ever-growing reunions program. Below, they have shared some of their favorite memories about their time at CU.

    "When I think about the time spent at CU, my favorite memories are about how I thought (and still think) the campus is beautiful and the architecture is very distinctive. At the time I was a student, it was safe and very easy to walk almost everywhere."

    "As a pom-pom girl in the 1970-71 season, we travelled to away football games. When CU played in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, I was almost run over by a stampeding Ralphie on National TV."

    "I was invited by one of the secretaries in the Engineering dean's office for Thanksgiving dinner. I also enjoyed my job as an Aerospace Engineering Lab Assistant."

    "I remember building a homecoming float in the shape of a buffalo on top of a 1955 Land Rover. The float was able to idle forward in the lowest gear without a driver- someone walking alongside could gently adjust the steering."

    "My favorite CU memory was attending the writers conference and Shakespeare Plays. I met several nationally recognized visiting poets at the conference and I met Professor Paul Levitt who later was on my thesis committee, and without whose help I could not have received my MA in Creative Writing Poetry."
