The deadline to select or waive insurance coverage for spring 2018 was February 2, 2018. There is a one-time petition to waive the Gold Plan that must be submitted by May 3, 2018 to be considered. Download the petition here, fill it out, and email it to patientservices@colorado.edu

All students are required to have health insurance during their time at CU Boulder. Students may elect coverage through an individual health insurance plan, through a family member or employer, or the university’s Student Gold Health Insurance Plan. Students must meet this requirement their first semester at CU Boulder and every fall semester thereafter.

Automatic Enrollment in Gold Health Insurance

Students registered for six or more undergraduate credit hours or one or more graduate credit hours will be automatically enrolled in the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan and charged $1,995 per semester.

Selection/Waiver Process

Before the fall and spring semeseter deadlines, you confirm your enrollment in the Gold Plan, add the Campus Care Supplement to your existing health insurance, or waive both university plans by providing proof of health insurance.
