We are pleased to announce that after an extensive formal request for proposal (RFP) process and thorough Insurance Advisory Committee review, Anthem of Colorado has been selected as the new insurance carrier for the 2020/2021 University of Colorado Boulder Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).
The plan will maintain the same exceptional level of benefits, including special features like telehealth and no deductible for services rendered by Medical Services at CU Boulder.
In addition, our long-time SHIP partners AmeriBen (claims administration) and Specialty Insurance Solutions (waiver/eligibility administrator) will continue to provide exceptional service for our students with SHIP.

Enrollment Timeline
Fall 2020 insurance portal opens June 8, 2020*
*Once an undergraduate student is registered for at least six undergraduate hours, and a graduate student is registered for at least one graduate credit hour, they will have an opportunity to visit the portal to enroll or waive insurance coverage.
Coverage Period
Fall Semester: August 1, 2020 - December 31, 2020
Spring Semester: January 1, 2021 - July 31, 2021
