The 2016 Best Should Teach Lecture & Awards Ceremony featuring Keynote SpeakerDaniel. G. Solórzano will take place August 25, 2016 from 7:00-8:30 PM in the University Memorial Center Ballroom.
Dr. Solórzano is Professor of Social Science & Comparative Education as well as Director of the Center for Critical Race Studies in the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. In his talk titled, "Using the Tools of Critical Race Theory and Racial Microagressions to Examine Everyday Racism in and Out of the Classroom," Professor Solórzano will illustrate how educators can enhance learning environments for students, themselves and their colleagues in an increasingly diverse climate.
