What is the Dissertation Writing Retreat?
The Dissertation Writing Retreat, sometimes called a Boot Camp, is a 4-day workshop intended to introduce doctoral candidates to foundational concepts and best practices for managing and writing a dissertation. The Graduate School and the Writing Center developed the retreat to help you make significant progress with your dissertation writing. You will be participating in workshops that offer insight into the writing process, and, most importantly, you will spend the majority of your time writing. Consultants with the Writing Center, and your peers, will provide feedback.
