Curiosity about the natural world leads to career path in earth science research

Since 2018, Adams has been working in CU Boulder’s Research and Innovation Office (RIO) as a research development coordinator for funding and awards. She will leave that position in July to pursue a doctorate in geography and ecohydrology. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked CU Boulder No. 1 in the world in geosciences.

Task force on graduate student stipends and benefits seeks community input

The task force charged with examining graduate student stipends and benefits has posted its draft report for a 60-day community review. The draft report by the Graduate Task Force on Stipends and Benefits provides detailed information on recent investments the university has made to graduate student faculty compensation and how it compares with the University of Colorado Boulder’s Association of American Universities (AAU) public peers. The draft report also includes recommendations, in order of priority, that address graduate student fees, health care services and stipends.

E. Scott Adler, professor and chair of political science, and Bud Coleman, professor and inaugural Roe Green Endowed Chair of Theatre and former chair (2003–17) of Theatre and Dance, are the two finalists for the post of dean of the Graduate School and vice provost for Graduate Affairs.
