The Global Engagement Advisory Group members provide insight, knowledge, and expertise to ensure that global engagement decisions are made in alignment with CU Boulder’s core values and international strategic vision. These decisions are informed by the strategic directions outlined in Academic Futures and Flagship 2030.In an environment of increased scrutiny of international activities, CU Boulder is committed to developing policies and practices that comply with sponsors requirements, while ensuring the highest degree of academic freedom. The Global Engagement Advisory engages in the following activities:
Develop a set of guiding principles and values for global engagement
Develop communication templates in advance of unexpected events
Provide input and thought leadership to the Chancellor’s cabinet on global issues to ensure the university is proactively prepared to address any issues that may arise
Inform campus strategy for international engagement
Ensure that CU Boulder follows a strategic approach to global engagement and international collaboration
The International Outreach and Initiative Group keeps CU Boulder administration informed of internationalization efforts across campus and coordinates and facilitates cross-campus global initiatives through the following activities:
Provide communication and coordination across units as opportunities for international partnerships and collaboration emerge.
Provide the opportunity for those who lead international outreach and/or international initiatives at CU to gather and share out successes and challenges related to international activities.
Share information and best practices across units regarding international activities (e.g. high-level delegation visits, international partnership agreements, and international conferences/events for academic institutions)
