Charlie is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Thornburg Investment Management based in Santa Fe, NM. He currently manages the Thornburg emerging markets equity strategy. Charlie received a BS degree from the University of Arizona and PhD from the University of Colorado. Before shifting to equity investing, Charlie contributed to several projects which explored the structure of plate boundaries at the lithospheric scale using teleseismic earthquake waves along with other geophysical tools. He currently lives in Washington D.C. with his wife, two kids, and their dog Stella.
