I'm honored to have been selected to participate in CU's Center for the Humanities and Arts' 2010-2011 'China' theme seminar and colloquia. My proposal suggests researching cultural geographies of informal economy, migration and citizenship in Shanghai, in order to better understand contemporary experiences of urban development in China.
