Jennifer is among the Ecological Society of America Early Career Fellows (2016–2020) for advancing the science of ecology and showing promise for continuing contributions. She was elected for her exceptional work and novel discoveries on fire risk, proliferation and consequences in both tropical and temperature ecosystems.
