Public Shows
We have public shows on the following days:
- EVENING shows on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday
- MATINEES on Saturday & Sunday afternoons
- Box Office opens 30 minutes prior to each showtime
The rest of the week our planetarium theater is reserved for CU classes, K-12 field trips, and special rentals.
PLEASE NOTE: We're CLOSED during CU football home games and some CU basketball homes games. Please visit the CU Sports calendar for schedules.
Our exhibit space is open during our matinees and evening shows.

Purchase tickets in advance online via TicketsWest or direct from our Box Office at 303.492.5002.
Regular show prices include our talks, fulldome films, star shows, and music laser fantasy/liquid sky shows.

Several unauthorized ticket resellers claim to offer "official" tickets, but some purchase tickets at face value and then try to resell them at an increased cost on various social media channels or websites. Sometimes, the tickets are complete fakes and invalid for admission to our shows. Please don't buy overpriced or fake tickets. Contact us immediately if you have any questions or concerns.
Parking
CU Parking Services requires visitors to pay for parking in lot 308 which is available on weeknights after 5pm and weekends. The parking machines accept credit cards or coins. Visit the CU campus map for parking options or find more info about short term parking at CU.
- Weekdays (Lots 306 or 404): $2/hour 7am-7pm
- Weeknights (Lot 308): $2/hour 5-7pm & $1/hr 7-10pm
- Saturday (Lot 308): $2/hour 7am-7pm & $1/hr 7-10pm
- Sunday (Lot 308): $1/hr 7am-10pm

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure you have enough time to park, pick up your tickets, and find a seat. While you wait for the show to start, we invite you to marvel at our Science on a Sphere, interact with our educational exibits, enjoy our current art exhibit, and experience the scale of the solar system walk through campus.
Accessible parking is located to the southeast of Fiske in Lot 408, the western edge of Lot 423 (to the east of Fiske by the Speech building), and in the northeast corner of Lot 308 (directly west of Fiske).
Redeeming Groupons or Vouchers
Day of show - Please check our schedule or call us 303.492.5002 to make sure the show you've selected hasn't sold out. Exchange the Groupon (either printed or via the mobile app with the 8-digit redemption code) at our Box Office to receive tickets for the show.
Redeem in advance - Give us a call at 303.492.5002 or send us an email to fiske@colorado.edu and provide your name, phone number, the 8-digit redemption code, name of the show, and the date/time of the show. We'll exchange the Groupon for tickets and hold them for you in will call. Please arrive 20 minutes early and bring an ID with you to pick up the tickets.
Groupons can ONLY be redeemed through our Box Office. (TicketsWest or other ticket vendors will not redeem Groupons.)
Online deals Groupon, discount coupons or Fiske Vouchers are only accepted during our regular fulldome shows, star shows, talks, and liquid sky/laser music shows, but will not be accepted for concerts and special events. However, we may be able to honor the value of the voucher, but the discount will not apply.
PLEASE NOTE: Groupons purchased prior to March 1, 2023 can be redeemed, but we don't have a Groupon campaign available for sale any longer.
Seating
Our 360-degree fulldome theater seats 200 guests. All of our seats are general admission. Purchasing tickets will guarantee seats, but you’ll need to arrive 20 minutes early in order to get a good spot in line and select your preferred seats.
We have multiple ADA accessible seating options. In addition, we have companion seating available. View the theater seating map. Please call ahead (24 hours) in order to reserve these seats.
There are many options in our theater for those with limited mobility. Additionally, our facility doesn't have any stairs on the exterior of the building or in the interior of our lobby and planetarium areas.

Public Transportation
Fiske is located at the south end of the University of Colorado campus within walking distance of bus stops on both Baseline and Broadway. These stops are served by the following bus lines:
Baseline stop #12338: Routes 204, 225
Broadway stop #12479: Routes AB1, FF1, FF2, FF5, BOUND, DASH, GS, J, SKIP

Equal Access
Fiske Planetarium is committed to providing equal access to individuals with disabilities.
If you are planning to attend a show or event and will require accommodations, please contact us as soon as possible (a week prior to the show/event is ideal). We will make all reasonable efforts to fulfill your request, but may not be able to do so without advance notice. Additionally, we have an FM system and assisted listening devices available. Museums for All & Blue Star Museum programs
Fiske Planetarium is part of the Museums for All program! Bring your EBT, Medicaid, or SNAP card to attend regular shows for $1. More details here.
Museums for All is an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Association of Children’s Museums.
Fiske is a Blue Star Museum. Free tickets are available to active-duty military personnel and their families beginning on Armed Forces Day, May 18, 2024 and continuing through Labor Day, September 2, 2024.
Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve.
Exchanging Tickets
Tickets purchased via TicketsWest can be exchanged 24 hours PRIOR to the event by emailing customercare@ticketswest.com or visiting the TicketsWest FAQ page.
Exchanges or refunds AFTER the event are handled on a case by case basis (typically, only in situations with extenuating circumstances), please contact Fiske’s Box Office at 303.492.5002.
Concerts and special events are excluded and will not be refunded or eligible for any ticket exchanges.
