FACULTY DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT

Mimi Engel is Faculty Director, focusing on New Faculty Development in the Office of Faculty Affairs. She is responsible for developing and managing programming to welcome and support tenure-line faculty as well as instructors during their first three years at CU Boulder.  She oversees a program designed to build leadership skills in faculty in their first three years through Leadership Education for Advancement and Promotion (LEAP) and the Thriving at CU Series, an onboarding program for new faculty. Mimi also serves as the faculty liaison to the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). 

Mimi is an Associate Professor and Program Chair of the Research & Evaluation Methodology (REM) program at the CU Boulder School of Education. She earned her PhD in Human Development and Social Policy at the School of Education & Human Development, Northwestern University in 2008; her AM in Social Work at the School of Social Service Administration, University of Chicago in 1998; and her BA in History, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993.
