Kelly Fox, Senior Vice Chancellor and CFO, has named Carla Ho'a associate vice chancellor for finance and business strategy, effective June 1, 2017. A nation-wide search for the position has been ongoing since January. Ho'a currently serves as the assistant vice chancellor for budget and fiscal planning at the University of Colorado Boulder.
In her new position, Ho'a will oversee CU Boulder’s Finance and Business Strategy organization which includes Auxiliary Services, Budget & Fiscal Planning, Campus Controller, and the Office of Data Analytics. She will replace Louise Vale who has been serving as interim since September 2015.
Ho'a has been engaged in higher education administration for over 20 years, and her experience includes strategic planning, budgeting, and operations for academic and administrative units. Her past CU leadership roles include associate dean for finance and administration at the CU College of Nursing and director of special projects and assistant vice chancellor for administration auxiliaries at CU Boulder.
