
Mimi Engel is Faculty Director, focusing on New Faculty Development in the Office of Faculty Affairs. She is responsible for developing and managing programming to welcome and support tenure-line faculty as well as instructors during their first three years at CU Boulder. Mimi oversees CU’s New Faculty Orientation, the Thriving at CU Series (an onboarding program for new faculty), and is currently piloting writing support and accountability groups that are open to all faculty. Mimi also serves as the faculty liaison to the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). Mimi l is an Associate Professor and Program Chair of the Research & Evaluation Methodology (REM) program at the CU Boulder School of Education. She earned her PhD in Human Development and Social Policy at the School of Education & Human Development, Northwestern University in 2008; her AM in Social Work at the School of Social Service Administration, University of Chicago in 1998; and her BA in History, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1993.
