Faculty Development and Support

Martha Hanna has been a faculty member in the Department of History since 1988 and has served as Faculty Director of LEAP since August 2013. In her capacity as Director of the Leadership Education and Advancement Program (LEAP), she works closely with Maribeth Van Haute to maintain programs that help newly-hired faculty cultivate the skills they need to thrive in their careers; and to develop programs that foster a sense of supportive intellectual community across the campus. A scholar of the First World War, Martha is especially interested in how the war affected marriage and family life in Europe and Canada.
