Stefania Mitova
Environmental Studies Program

Stefi is a 5th year PhD student in Environmental Studies. Her research is on electric vehicle smart charging with renewable energy, storage, and the grid. The goal of this work is to optimize the integration of electric vehicles and solar panels: both individually owned technologies and shared ones. Methodologically, this is interdisciplinary research that bridges urban and energy systems as well as their environmental impact.

Prior to her PhD, Stefi earned a M.S. in Environmental Science from Wageningen University, NL, and a B.A. in Architecture from Wellesley College, MA. Past employers include Sunrun (CO), the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (DC), the UN (DE), and the European Commission of the EU (BE).
