Dr. Outi Supponen joined the laboratory in March 2018 as a postdoctoral fellow funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. While here, Outi worked on the open platform ultasound system (ULA-OP) to take Doppler measurements of microbubble displacements under acoustic radiation force. She successfully modeled the displacements, allowing her to determine the microbubble shell viscoelastic properties. She presented this work at several prestigious venues, including Acoustical Society of America, International Congress on Ultrasonics and IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium. She is now moving on to a faculty position at ETH Zurich.
