Andy Baker is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Program on International Development (PID) in the Institute of Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. Andy conducts research on Latin American politics, mass political behavior, and international political economy. He has written three books: Persuasive Peers: Social Communication and Voting in Latin America (with Barry Ames and Lucio Renno, 2020, Princeton University Press), The Market and the Masses in Latin America: Policy Reform and Consumption in Liberalizing Economies (2009, Cambridge University Press) and Shaping the Developing World: The West, the South, and the Natural World (2014, Congressional Quarterly Press). His articles have appeared in American Journal of Political Science, American Political Science Review, Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Politics, Latin American Research Review, World Politics, and other journals.
