We have been successful in the past with bringing home some of the awards. And Laramie is not too far and a beautiful drive up 287. You get a chance to network with professionals and students and faculty in the Rocky Mountain region working in water and wastewater.
Please discuss with your faculty advisor and try to submit an abstract and/or go to the meeting.

Good Evening,
My name is Savannah Bachman and I am the president of the University of Wyoming’s AWWA and WEF Student Chapter. We are the host institution for the 2016 RMSAWWA/RMWEA student conference. The conference will be held in Laramie, WY on May 16th. The conference will take place all day and incorporate oral and poster presentations, networking events for students and professionals, and a social event at the conclusion of the conference. We are currently soliciting abstracts for oral and poster presentations (see the attached announcement). Abstracts must be submitted using the attached submission form. Submissions will be accepted until April 1st. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top oral and poster presentations. We are interested in receiving abstracts on any topic related to environmental engineering or science, but are particularly interested in the following research areas:
- Water and wastewater treatment technologies
- Oil and natural gas produced water management
- Potable water reuse
- Pipe corrosion and lead release in drinking water systems
- Membrane processes
Authors will be notified about the abstract submissions no later than April 4th. Please contact me or Dr. Jonathan Brant (jbrant1@uwyo.edu) if you have any questions regarding the abstract submission process or the conference program. Programs will be distributed through email on April 8th.
