Architectural Apprentice | dig Architecture

dig Architecture is looking to hire an Architectural Apprentice to work in their Jacksonville office who will perform architectural design, working drawings, and construction services on projects of varying sizes and scopes. A qualified candidate for this position is passionate about design excellence, eager to learn, a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative with experience in architecture, design, or construction. Accuracy and quality of work is a critical characteristic as we are recognized for our high standards for the documents we produce. 

dig Architecture is a small studio; therefore a candidate must be able to balance multiple tasks and consistently contribute as a member of the team. A knowledge base of Revit, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and V-Ray are important qualifications. An understanding of construction and/or desire to learn is important, we completed our first build project in 2016 and are anticipating starting a new build project in the summer of 2017.  We spend a good amount of time in the field learning from our craftsmen and taking part in the build.

We aim to teach our apprentices all we know about being a small firm practitioner over time, so that they grow into a key member of our team. Giving them the opportunity to design and manage projects along with taking part in the business and marketing side of an architectural practice. A signing/relocation bonus is available to a qualified candidate.

    • Exercise discretion, judgment, and design creativity. 
    • Research products for detailing integration.
  • Excellent Revit and writing skills, proficient at Sketchup and/or other graphic software.

Designer | studioJDK

studioJDK is looking to hire a talented Designer with experience in ArchViz to create inspired, photo-realistic and illustrative renderings in the JDK style, while at the same time being a well rounded designer who can exercise their creativity among various projects and concepts.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in all aspects of digital rendering using industry standards, but more specifically SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Photoshop to translate architects and designers insights into beautiful marketing imagery. Experience with Unreal engine, Unity, Lumion, Adobe Premiere, or After Effects is a plus.

Experience and requirements include:

  • Advanced knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Minimum 2 years experience creating high-end, luxury renderings, preferably in a creative agency environment
  • Experience with photography
  • Experience with After Effects and post-processing software
  • Creative thinking with artistic instincts
  • A clear understanding of lighting and scene framing
  • Interior Design proficiency with Branded Restaurant, Hospitality or Museum work a plus

Architectural Designer | WORKSHOP8
