Office: ENVD 171
As a recent graduate of the University of Denver master’s program in higher education, Roberto De Mata is committed to student achievement and planning for post-graduate success. De Mata is a proud alum of CU Boulder and a first-generation student. While an undergrad at CU he was able to take advantage of many opportunities in which he learned Arabic, studied abroad in Morocco & the Dominican Republic, worked at the Environmental Center and founded a chapter of his multicultural fraternity, Tau Psi Omega-which he continues to support to this day.
De Mata has many interests and passions including cuisine, gardening with permaculture in mind, overanalyzing weird movies and tirelessly entertaining both his 110lb chocolate lab monster Brody and his mutt pup Bronx. De Mata enjoys discussions on various topics and foremost learning from his students, from the most pressing social issues of urban planning to debating whether pineapple is a fine culinary addition to pizza. He is excited to begin to serve as an asset to our students and to become a member of the ENVD community.
