The Program in Environmental Design at the University of Colorado Boulder is hosting a crowdfunding campaign through Dec. 31, 2022, to raise funds for upgrading design technology used in our in-house creative labs and makerspaces.
Environmental Design students at CU Boulder partnered with Firefly Handmade Market to exhibit and sell sustainable products that tell a larger story about the need for action now to fight climate change. The experimental (sold out) products will be on exhibit in coordination with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit.

Assistant Professor Shawhin Roudbari’s collaborative work with the Dark Matter University, an entity of architecture instructors leading change towards antiracist modes of education and practice, was recently highlighted in The Architect’s Newspaper for its installation at the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.

The Open House is a building-wide exhibition of design and research produced by our faculty and students during the fall semester. This event was established in 2018 to encourage connection between students and their faculty, alumni and friends, as well as with the Boulder community at large. But most excitingly, it is a celebration of your accomplishments in the classroom.
ENVD scholarship applications are live. The deadline to apply for Environmental Design scholarships is Feb. 15, 2023. Applicants must also complete the FAFSA for scholarships with financial need criteria and eligibility requirements.

Creative Labs Center Holiday Ornament Workshop

The CLC will be hosting an ornament workshop using in-house laser cutters. Materials will be provided for up to 24 participants. Materials will be available for purchase. Files with shapes will also be provided. If you would like to attend, please bring a laptop with Rhino 6 or 7 installed. Communicating through Visualization in Landscape + Urban Design Workshop

CEDaR and third-year landscape architecture studio: Interpretive Education in the Landscape as a means of Eco-Healing will be hosting ENVD alum Cale Wagner, an urban designer at Sasaki, for an informal workshop. Participate in conversation to learn, explore and discuss strategies and workflows for design graphics, primarily in the context of studios doing work with communities and community partners.
