PhD Candidate

Stephanie Couey is a Ph.D. candidate in English, and her research is in contemporary multiethnic North American women’s literatures. Her dissertation focuses on food and the body alongside considerations of citizenship, diaspora, and transnational U.S. imperialism. She previously received an MFA in Creative Writing, also from CU Boulder, and alongside critical work, she writes poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. She currently teaches in the Program of Writing and Rhetoric.
