I am currently a lecturer in the English Department, primarily teaching Eng 1600 (Intro to American Literature) and Eng 3060 (Twentieth Century and Contemporary Literature).

Educational Biography

I have my PhD in 20th Century American Literature with an emphasis is Modern Drama and Theory and certification in Women's Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

I have my MA in English Literature from University of Missouri St. Louis.

I have a BA in Mass Communications: Television/Radio and English, with a minor in French from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. 
 

Research

My dissertation was on dark humor in Southern Gothic literature,

I also do a lot of research on mass media, new media, and gender studies.
