Will Medlin is the Denver Business Challenge Endowed Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Site Director of the Colorado Center for Biorefining and Biofuels. Medlin’s lab investigates reactions at solid surfaces for renewable and sustainable energy applications, including the chemistry involved in the conversion of biomass. A fellow of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute, Medlin is a recipient of the Dean’s Outstanding Research Award and shared the David Himmelblau Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, which honors innovations in computer-based chemical engineering education. He serves as associate chair of the Chemical & Biological Engineering Department. Medlin earned his PhD from the University of Delaware.
