About the Virtual Visit Day

The virtual visit day is an opportunity learn about STEM disciplines and majors at CU Boulder, what it’s like to be a student here, our diversity and student support offices, how admissions and transfer work, and what scholarships are available to you as a future CU Buff!

Our staff and current CU Boulder students will share their experiences and advice and you can ask them any questions you may have. You will also learn about the many opportunities to get involved in undergraduate research. If you are curious about the cutting edge science and technology development taking place at CU Boulder, checkout the spotlights on some of our research labs. We look forward to meeting you!

Who put this visit day together?

This event is brought to you with the help of the Broadening Opportunities through Leadership and Diversity (BOLD) Center, the Miramontes Arts & Science Program (MASP), The Department of Geological Sciences, the Denver Metro STEM Alliance, and the the Colorado-Wyoming branch of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation, known as CO-WY AMP.

CO-WY AMP is a collaborative of universities, colleges and tribal nations in the region funded through the National Science Foundation. Our mission and goal are to strengthen and resource college students on their journey to become academic and industry leaders ultimately increasing the number of Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous/Native American, Native Alaska/Pacific Islanders, Black/African-American and other historically underrepresented student populations in STEM fields.

We would like to especially encourage students from our partnering community colleges

  • Arapahoe Community College
  • Central Wyoming College
  • Community College of Aurora
  • Community College of Denver
  • Front Range Community College
  • Northeastern Junior College
  • Otero Junior College
  • Red Rocks Community College
  • Trinidad State Junior College

to meet us at the virtual visit day.

CO-WY AMP representatives are always available to answer your questions and share more information as you continue your education at CU Boulder. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us after your visit. We look forward to meeting you!
