There are several curricula options for the BS degree in Chemical Engineering. These are:

  • standard curriculum (presented above)
  • materials option
  • pre-medicine curriculum

The standard curriculum provides the most freedom in choosing technical elective courses. The option curricula use the technical electives to fulfill the theme of the option. Details may be obtained from the ChBE Advising Guide.

For students completing the materials degree option, a notation will be made on the student’s transcript indicating the option.

* When selecting HSS electives, students should consult the college’s degree requirements in this area.

** A list of college-approved writing courses can be found on the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Writing page.
