Alumni gather in HoustonThe college launched its second regional network in Houston, Texas, on Jan. 24 at Karbach Brewery, offering alumni an excellent opportunity to connect and network with one another.

Sarah Miller, associate dean for diversity and inclusion and director of The BOLD (Building Opportunity through LeadeAlumni gather in Houstonrship and Diversity) Center at the College of Engineering and Applied Science, showcased the college's recent successes increasing the number of female and underrepresented minority students in the college, along with the overall growth of the student body to approximately 7,000 engineering students.

To accommodate the increased number of students, Miller referenced the college's expanding footprint with the construction of the new aerospace building along and the new Business + Engineering expansion project, along with substantial growth in faculty and staff support.

Moving forward, the Alumni Engagement team plans to host events in the Houston area at least twice a year. Houston-based alumni who would like to get involved with our efforts are welcome to become a Regional Network Ambassador.

Contact the alumni engagement team if you have questions or would like to get involved at engalumni@colorado.edu.
