Cherie joined the engineering college leadership team during the summer of 2016. Before coming to CU, Cherie started and ran her own specialty manufacturing company, where she patented and marketed a chemical safety device. Prior to starting her own company, Cherie spent 17 years in the chemical industry, where she received eight industry awards for top performance, leadership and excellence. Cherie is also a proud alumna of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Cherie sits on the Leadership Board for the Cherry Creek School District, is a member of the STEAM Advisory Board for the Cherry Creek Innovation Campus, is an ex-officio member of the BOLD Advisory Committee, is an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors for the YESS Institute and has volunteer experience with The Humane Society, Junior League of St. Paul and the Comitis Crisis Center of Aurora. Her passion is to be a role model for her kids, by helping to empower other youth and support them in reaching their educational goals. In her free time, Cherie can be found with her family, skiing, hiking or traveling.
