The Engineering Management Certificate gives you the tools to understand the business framework in an engineering and technology environment. Courses are designed to help you refine interpersonal skills, develop leadership and management skills, and increase your confidence in working with others.  Benefits include increased potential job opportunities and accelerated career development.

NOTE:  The Engineering Management certificate is open to College of Engineering and Applied Science undergraduate majors only.

Required Courses

(3 Credit Hours)

  • EMEN 4030: Project Management Systems or substitute AREN 4506, CSCI 3308 or CVEN 3246

Elective Courses

(9 Credit Hours - choose three)

  • Students may select any 3000 or 4000-level EMEN courses (EMEN 4030 does not count as an elective if AREN 4506, CSCI 3308 or CVEN 3246 is taken for the required course above)

Receiving Your Certificate

Please fill out this Certificate Completion Form before you graduate.  A paper certificate is mailed approximately eight weeks after the end of the semester that you graduate. If you did not establish a separate diploma address when you applied to graduate, your certificate will be mailed to your home address.  Students cannot earn the Engineering Management certificate and Engineering Management minor.
