G. 'Ravi’ Ravishankar is the president of Operational Solutions LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in operational transformation of businesses and fractional CEO/COO services. He was formerly the president of Lifeloc Technologies in Wheat Ridge. He is a veteran of lean transformation, implementing product innovation strategies and technology transfer from national laboratories.
His career has spanned a wide range of operating roles from engineering manager, director of innovation, CFO of a not-for-profit, to president, where finance, engineering, technology and business strategy have needed to be integrated. He has worked in four continents on lean manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, product development, factory start-up, and business strategy. His industry experience includes, semiconductors, machinery, medical devices, food and beverage, chemicals, consulting and not-for-profit.
He has over 30 years of experience in engineering and executive roles with Intel Corp., United Technologies, Case Corp., Atmel, Johnson & Johnson and Booz Allen and Hamilton. He is passionate about education and teaching students how to apply theory to everyday challenges in business.
Ravi has a BS in chemical engineering, MS in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and MS in materials engineering from MIT. He is also a Fellow of the Leaders for Global Operations program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management where he obtained his MBA specializing in operations management and product development. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and holds 8 patents, is the author of numerous articles, and is a speaker on a variety of operations management topics.
He is an avid skier and hiker, having trekked to Everest base camp and summited 18 of Colorado’s 14ers.
