In Sandy (Fly) McDivitt's 39 years in K-12 education in Colorado, California and India, she has created a foundation for serving as Co-chair on the Board of Directors for Ananda College in Gaston, Oregon. Multicultural and alternative education have been her life passion. Ananda College promotes 'higher education for higher consciousness' and provides a path for students who don't fit into a traditional mold.

Sandra Fly-Ross-McDivitt Wong so "appreciated my education at CU and was so grateful for the grant I received from the BUENO Department in the early '80's to earn my M.A. I was serving a growing population of immigrants and refugees from Southeast Asia in the St. Vrain Valley School District at that time. Working collaboratively with CU's education department helped me better serve our new families and their children."
