Modeling behavior, psychological economics, happiness, and the ethical foundations of economic choice models. Professor Morey is finishing a book for the U. of Toronto Press with the working title, "The ethics of economics and its theory of choice: good, bad, happiness & economic value"

PhD, University of British Columbia, 1978, is a professor whose predominate interests are demand theory and the evaluation of nonmarket commodities. Consumer surplus measures, and their meaning, fascinate him. Most of his applied work is in the area of environmental economics. He has done numerous studies that estimate the demand for and benefits from recreational sites as a function of their characteristics. Current research interests include valuing cultural and historical resources.
