Bike MechanicsThe Bike Stations offer numerous ways to help keep our campus cyclists in the saddle and enjoying the campus and Boulder's great environment. An easy and very effective way to keep cyclists in the saddle is to provide Free Bike Maintenance Assistance to all students and affiliates of the University. The CU Boulder Bike Station Mechanics are able to assist with any of your bike maintenance or service needs. Bicycle registration is required to use the bike stations and is requested of those who bicycle on campus and it's totally free!

Both the UMC and Folsom stations are equipped to patch tubes and provide a free, new tube when the old tube cannot be patched. Other parts must be purchased from a local retailer or non-profit such as Community Cycles. Those parts can then be brought to either of the bike stations where our bike can help you replace parts. Brake pads, tires, cables and housing are examples of parts our mechanics can help you replace. It's a good idea to check in at the station and ask if your need can be met at the bike stations. Some repairs and part replacements should be done at a local bike shop instead of a CU bike station. Again, bicycle registration is required to use the bike stations and is requested of those who bicycle on campus and it's free!
