Ralphie’s Green Stampede needs volunteers for the Buff’s football season this year. CU has the oldest and most respected sports sustainability and zero waste programs in the country. We need your help to make zero waste possible again at our final football game of the season.. So far this season 60 volunteers have helped us divert over 100,000lbs of waste from the landfill to be recycled and compost. Click here to sign up for our final game, against Utah.

Volunteers shifts start an hour and a half before kick off and run through the end of the third quarter. Volunteers help educate fans, top sort recycling bins and swap full bags. Volunteers get a free ticket to the game, an RGS t-shirt and a meal voucher. Gloves and training are both provided. Last season CU won the Pac-12 innovation award for our zero waste program, including the debut of plastic-free aluminum cups.

Volunteers are also needed at CU Basketball home games for both the mens and womens teams. Like Folsom Field, the CU Events Center is a zero waste venue, meaning there are no public trash cans and all concession items are either compostable or easily recyclable. Help keep our waste streams clean by volunteering to be a zero waste goalie at one of our upcoming games.  For questions email Green.Stampede@colorado.edu
