About Me
I joined the Department of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering at CU in July 2019 as an Academic Advisor. I earned my B.A. in International Studies with a focus on World Cultural & Social Issues and a minor in French from the University of Wyoming in December 2008, and my M.Ed in Higher and Post-secondary Education in August 2013 from Arizona State University. My experience in higher education student services includes international student services both at ASU and CU Boulder as well as academic advising at MSU Denver and CU Boulder in Chemical & Biological Engineering. Through major changes and exploring my graduate pathways, I developed a passion for helping students find their own diverse pathway to their goals.
During college, I studied abroad in Japan, which was a fun and life-changing experience. Now, besides advising college students, I enjoy travelling with my husband, dancing, playing with my dog (Rolo McFlurry) and two cats (Carl Sagan and Sophie), and snowboarding and skiing (tree runs all day)!
