Design SprintDesign For America is a national organization that provides students with the resources, framework and experience to innovate meaningful solutions to the social challenges that affect us and our communities. At CU Boulder, we are proud to be one of 38 studios nationwide striving to use our design skills for social good.

In DFA, we work in small, interdisciplinary teams to tackle relevant problems using the human-centered design process. We work directly with local community partners to identify a design challenge, pe rform intelligent and empathetic research on its causes and effects, brainstorm a diverse variety of potential solutions, and work with real users to test and improve those solutions. Since our studio's founding in 2016, we have tackled projects ranging from engineering a better mobility system for the elderly, to designing curriculum to foster social-emotional learning in elementary school students. We actively seek out members from all backgrounds and believe that diverse skills and perspectives are crucial to our success as a studio.
