Research Interests:

Drinking water treatment, water reuse, activated carbon adsorption, impact of natural organic matter on treatment processes, disinfection byproduct formation and control, taste and odor event control, biofiltration, scalability of physical and chemical processes, mass transfer processes, organic contaminant treatment

Dr. Chris Corwin, instructor at the University of Colorado Boulder will direct the research for Project 4, Activity 2.  His research on activated carbon has been published in Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, and the Journal of the American Water Works Association. During his 10+ years in consulting engineering and graduate studies, Chris participated in over 25 evaluations of activated carbon for utilities across the country.
