CWEST will be hosting three water-related seminars in the spring semester of 2016. Join us for our first guest speaker, Professor John Melack of UCSB’s department of Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology. He will be giving a talk titled Ecosystem processes in Amazon floodplains: Linking hydrology and ecology. Professor Melack’s research focuses on the ecological processes in lakes, wetlands and streams, and the hydrological and biogeochemical aspects of catchments. The talk will be held on Wednesday, January 27th at 11am. The seminar location is on CU Boulder’s main campus, in the CIRES Auditorium.

The future seminar guest speakers include Reed Maxwell from the Colorado School of Mines on Wednesday, February 24th and Lauren Hay from the USGS on Wednesday, April 13th. All seminars will be held in the CIRES Auditorium at 11am. Stay tuned for more!
