On October 25th, NSF released a new solicitation for research proposals called Navigating the New Arctic (NNA), one of the agencies Big 10 Ideas. Proposals are due on February 14th, 2019. CWEST believes this solicitation overlaps with expertise both on and off CU’s campus, particularly with collaborators at the U.S. Geological Survey. CWEST's former and founding director, Diane McKnight, recently returned to campus after holding a leadership role within NSF’s Office of Polar Programs and thus has a valuable perspective to offer those interested in responding to the NNA call for proposals.
