Rosie Chawla is a global projects advisor in China, developing educational projects on global issues and establishing peace education initiatives for educators, youth and communities. She has developed projects on human trafficking, gender issues, child marriage, human rights, social inclusion and conflict resolution. 

She has a master’s degree in conflict resolution and negotiations from Columbia University, a business post-graduate certification from Wharton Business School/U Penn and bachelor’s degree in finance from Temple University. She has worked in business for 16 years.

She traveled to Greece in 2016 with a scholarship from Columbia University to research the lives of Syrian refugees. She also worked for the UN in Myanmar as a conflict researcher. In 2017, Chawla worked with 20 NGOs on the conflict between Palestine and Israel. In 2018 and 2019, she attended the prestigious OECD Forum in Paris, and in 2018 she was selected for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations.                            

In 2019, she spoke at University of Cambridge in London on peace education initiatives in Myanmar and China; she was selected to attend the Business for Peace Forum in Norway to bring understanding and collaborations from China; and she was selected for the International Institute on Peace Education in Nicosia, Cyprus. In 2018, she led a project in Nepal that empowers women and stops child marriages with local NGO partnerships. In 2020, she presented in Berlin on the theme of peace and aggression, a social challenge for psychiatry and psychotherapy.
