2011-2012: Author. Jim Shepard is the author of six novels and four story collections. His novel Project X won both the 2005 Library of Congress/Massachusetts Book Award for Fiction and the ALEX Award from the American Library Association. His short fiction has appeared in Harper's, McSweeney's, The Atlantic Monthly, Esquire, the New Yorker and Playboy, as well as other journals.
